Day 1: Pick up from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park for an afternoon game drive

On the first day of the safari, you will be transferred from a hotel in Dar es Salaam after your breakfast by a representative guide from our company. You will be taken to Mikumi National Park for an afternoon game drive. You will arrive at a lunch meal at a lodge in Mikumi National Park. After relaxing, you will be briefed about the afternoon game drive.

You will explore different places in the park where you will spot wildlife, such as the hippo pools for viewing the hippos. You will also have other eye-catching sights like the zebras, elephants, wildebeests, buffaloes and many more. The guide will then drive you to the lodge after the afternoon game drive, which will end at around 5 pm. You will refresh at the lodge and have dinner. You will retire to bed.

Day 2: Full day game drive

On the second day of the safari, you will have a full day game drive in Mikumi National Park. The second day will begin with an early morning breakfast and a briefing at the park headquarters. You will then set off so that you catch up with the sunrise, which is a very exciting and rewarding sight and experience. You will spot the rise of the wildlife from their habitats since it’s the time that they are very active and searching for what to eat. You will be able to see animals like the lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo and many more.

You will have a picnic lunch after the morning session of the game drive. After the picnic lunch and relaxation, you will then have another game drive where you will have to view various animal species around water sources, taking water and also see them relaxing under shade. You will then be returned to the lodge for dinner, and you will retire to bed

Day 3: Morning game drive and transfer back to Dar es Salaam

On the last day of the safari, you will have a morning game drive after having breakfast at the lodge. The morning game drive will take place in the Mkata flood plains, where you will have views of the elephants, buffalo, lions, zebras and many more. You will also have views of bird species in the Mkata plains. You will be taken back to the lodge, and you will have lunch. The guide will drive you back to the hotel in Dar es Salaam.
